Cridersville

    MARY ELIZABETH PEPPLE, 86, died at 11 a.m. Dec. 23, 2004, at her residence.

    She was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Monett, Mo., to Charles and Minnie Mae Brooks Allen, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 3, 1939, she married Marshal Ralph Pepple, who died March 8, 1968.

    Mrs. Pepple had been a field secretary of the Ohio State Extension Services Office. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and its Christian Women’s Club. She was a member of the American Business Women Association and had been a 4-H adviser.

    Survivors include a son, David R. (Sheryl) Pepple of Plano, Texas; two daughters, Marlene J. Zwiebel of Birmingham, Ala., and Karen K. (Randy) Elsass of Minster; and 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

    Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
